Thin pieces of wood are steamed and bent to form a corset or dress panels, cushions and upholstery are cannibalized to turn into vests and skirts, silverware is turned into jewelry, ancient paintings are cut and sewn into men's coats, and etc.


The 'value' of a piece of clothing or jewelry is not based on its appearance as much as its age. Paints with the stone dust of ancient temples and pyramids, for example, might be very valuable.
